My Father and My Son

My father and my son – a universal story of difficult interpersonal relations based on the example of three generations of one family. The main character, Sadık, against his father’s will, left home to study journalism. In Istanbul, he goes through hardships: his wife dies in childbirth, and he is being imprisoned in connection with political events. Years later, Sadık decides to take his son Deniz to his home village, to return to long-unseen mother, and his father whom he has not spoken to for years... The movie has an excellent atmosphere and plot that absorbs, amuses and moves to tears.
